Belleville is the county seat of Republic County. With a population of around 2000, we have many amenities larger towns offer. We’re nationally known for our racing track at the Belleville High Banks. We also offer multiple outdoor activities—golfing, swimming, fishing at Rocky Pond, and a newer park for children. We also have a small movie theater as well as a bowling alley. Belleville is also home to the NCK Free Fair every summer.
We have a quaint downtown with many local shops surrounding the square. A lot of small-town pride occurs on the square, with several parades and holiday events taking place throughout the year.
